The educational trip for tomorrow’s leaders

Give your child an experience,

to open his mind and help him become a

LEADER OF TOMORROW

Today’s schooling has remained virtually unchanged over the last 100 years and is therefore no longer helpful for students to integrate into the real world with ease.

If you think about how the world was a hundred years ago; most of us went around in a carriage, electricity and running water were still not widely available and the most coveted jobs were those of accountants and bankers.

But if the world has evolved so much, how can we accept that our school system has not?

What does this mean?

It means that your child is currently learning concepts and skills in school that they will not need in the future and that are already obsolete now.

SOFT SKILLS and FINANCIAL EDUCATION are the new skills required by the labor market and are very different from what is taught in school, which is didactic and theoretical, and does not prepare children for the challenges of the real world.

British English VS Rest of the world

SOFT SKILLS

FINANCIAL EDUCATION

English is just one of those subjects
that your child learns little and badly at school.

How is English taught in school?

According to an analysis conducted by Babel one of the most used app to learn English, the south of Europe is at the bottom in terms of language skills. On average, Italian, Swiss, Spanish and French graduates usually do not have a sufficient level of English to enter the workforce and if you were able to find a school, most probably private, where your child learns English well, they will be limited by the classic school approach, far from real life, made up of grammar and literature.

Too little to compete with children of families living in other countries, condemning your child to mediocrity.

Probably if you are reading this, you have already thought of these arguments and you are looking for that extra-curricular activity that can really give your child that edge in becoming an adult able to take care of themselves, and achieve the goals they want.

Are you giving your child the tools to become an adult capable of entering the workforce with ease and overcoming the life's obstacles on their own?

How many successful companies, founded by phenomenal entrepreneurs, have gone bankrupt not because of a crisis but because of a person lacking the skills to manage a company?

There are so many subjects that should be taught in school and those that do exist are not up to date with the needs of today’s world.

So, if you want to give your child a chance to have a successful future, you look for ways to integrate school education with extra-curricular activities that prepare them for adult life.

Certainly, it is essential to know English to widen your opportunities, in a now global market it is in fact indispensable in order to be successful.

Read this to the end, and we will see together how the classic educational trip is not only useless but in some cases even harmful to your child’s future and happiness.

There are two big mistakes that are made by the classic study trips you can find on the market and that make useless your investment in your child’s future.

THE FIRST BIG MISTAKE IS ENGLISH.

In fact, the most popular destination is England. Of course, it is closer and cheaper and therefore within everyone’s reach. But we are no longer in the nineties and now taking a study trip to England or the United Kingdom has remained the dream of small-town people who have never left their village. British English is a dead language like Latin, in the business world, dominated by the States, the only language used is American English.

The whole business world revolves around the US, from Silicon Valley home to the best startups on Wall Street to Hollywood. Very far from old, cheap England.

That’s why learning British English in an American-speaking world is like learning Latin in an Italian-speaking world.

England is not the place where a young mind can understand how the world of business and real life works.

But be careful, if you are thinking of sending your child to America to study, there is a second aspect to consider ...

IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO SEND YOUR CHILD TO THE STATES

In fact, it is not enough to send your child to learn the language of business if then, the trip organizers do not plan anything of sense, from a business perspective.

A ride to Central Park or the Statue of Liberty is as beautiful as it is useless from a training standpoint. They will do the same things in class as they do at school, and in the afternoon go out and play volleyball.

I often see the kids who come back from these trips, and too often the experience turned out to be a great disappointment, which did not meet the expectations of either the child or the parents.

With this in mind, I wanted to create American Business Holiday, the study trip for tomorrow’s leaders.

To give families who want something more for their children that no other trip can give them.

It is a bit like when you take a plane, whether you are seated in business or economy class you will arrive at the same airport. We know, however, that a business trip or an economy trip are not the same thing. They do not have the same comforts and above all your neighbour will not be exactly the same type of person.

I am Felice Pannone,

CEO of Svetatour

for twenty years every year we have been helping over 21,000 young people travel, this has allowed me to get to know the differences between a useful and pleasant journey and a journey that is harmful to their growth.

Travel is certainly always important for the growth of any person, for this reason those who can afford certain types of trips and experiences of a higher level than the average person, then occupy prestigious positions in life.

The experiences we have in our youth are important in shaping the adult we become.

A recent study by the Wagner Group, in collaboration with the US Travel Association and TravelEffect.com, clearly demonstrates the positive impact that educational trips made by teenagers have on people’s future academic and financial success.
In the study, 400 consumers were surveyed, aged between 21 and 69, about their travel experiences as young people, their aptitude, and academic success, their career path, and their salary.

Some important conclusions:

Students who took study trips (between the ages of 12 and 18) are the ones who have had the most academic and financial success.

Travel has improved academic success and influenced career choices.

The children who took study trips enjoyed school more and felt a greater connection with their world.

The study trip
for the leaders of tomorrow

Even before leaving, your child will be guided, through preparatory meetings, to ease into the experience, thus removing that initial embarrassment that is present in every journey and allowing your child to be that much more ready.

Before leaving, they will be able to meet boys and girls like themselves, already starting to make friends, during the study trip they will then be faced with other kids always of their same knowledge level and together they will prepare projects business-centric projects in American English.

Depending on their age, during their stay they will meet CEO or managers of the famous BIG COMPANIES such as Google, Facebook, Apple or other companies "made in the USA". Fun but also stimulating visits suitable for those who will be future company leaders.

Throughout their adventure they will be accompanied by experienced American staff, our Mentors, people chosen to set an example and support your child on their journey.

The mentor is a figure that we wanted to include by developing the idea of the mentor of American universities. Having a positive role model in fact helps children find the right motivation and increases self-confidence. In this regard, Terri A. Scandura, professor of management and dean of the graduate school at the University of Miami, says that most of the Fortune 500 companies see mentoring as an important development tool for people, so much so that it is used by 71% of them.

Not even over 18, and your child will already be able to add experiences to their CV that no graduate has in Europe.

So that they can already be light years ahead of their comrades who have not been able to access these elite educational trips.

American Business Holiday focuses heavily on teaching through experiences, because not only do kids not get bored, but they acquire skills that will stay with them forever.

If you are wondering what these Business Oriented activities are and how our method works, you can request information by speaking with one of our Mentors, directly from those who live these experiences with the students. Fill in the form below to get in touch with us.

The first time I was sent my daughter overseas alone, I had a lot of worries about food, accommodation, the people she would hang out with ... I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the photos my daughter sent me, when I spoke to her on the phone I could hear she was happy and satisfied, so much so that I have already booked for next year.

Alessandra Di Lucia

For my son, more than a study trip, it was an experience of life and growth. Upon returning, I saw him more self-assured, more confident and above all eager to learn how business works in the US in order to be able to import it to Europe in the future.

Gaetano Luciano

I sent my two children with ABH and every day when they called me they kept telling me how amazing the study trip was, how many new friends they had made and how many stimulating activities they did. They learned American English while having fun.

Giancarlo Battaglia

I recommend a study holiday with ABH for all those parents who want their child to be looked after by a competent structure, which leaves nothing to chance and while learning, has qualified people beside them. Who better than the Swiss to do this?

Luisa Marangon

I agreed to send my son out of exhaustion, a friend of his had gone to the US last year and he was super enthusiastic…so my son badgered me every day to go with his friend. I must say that it was not a whim, he came back to greet me in American, talking to me about the companies he visited and the new friends he made…I regret not having sent him the year before.

Alessandra Galli

I am always very attentive to the choices I make for my daughter. I want her to have a superior education and to be honest, traditional study trips have always seemed like a waste of time. Then I discovered that ABH was doing a completely different thing, teaching American and all with a business edge. They are also serious professionals, my daughter was very happy and she actually also acquired a greater awareness of herself and her means.

Gianmarco Bocci

Hearing my daughter talking to me about business plans thrilled me! Understanding already at that age how the world works, knowing that at school no one would have explained it to her, is priceless. ABH all the way!

Caterina Lai

I have already booked the trip up to the age of 18 for my children. I absolutely cannot afford to miss such an opportunity, being part of this small group of kids, learning both American and how to run a business, surrounded by inspiring people of their level.

Massimo Sammarco

Honestly, I am very protective, and knowing that my daughter is accompanied and supported 24 hours a day and that she only sees people of a certain level reassures me a lot. I wish I had known about ABH earlier.

Flavia Botaro

I had already sent my son on a study trip before ABH and I must say that the difference was immediately clear. I’m very satisfied.
